Mobile technology changed forever how show and corporate events visitors immerse themselves in presentations and information available for them while navigating through practical information via event app. Facilitating seamless interactions with audience made it easier for organisers too. This month we decided to pick an event app from our own sister company Rakuten Brazil – created together with us working as #oneteam. The App of the month series is our way to promote fantastic apps created with our platform and we’re proud that thousands of participants of the show in Sao Paulo loved the intuitive experience created for them and available directly on their devices!
Fully packed agenda at large e-commerce show
Rakuten Expo is an annual e-commerce, innovation and digital marketing event held in Sao Paulo in Brazil. It’s aimed at thousands of e-commerce professionals and digital entrepreneurs who wish to acquire knowledge about best practices, success cases, solutions and new technologies of the online market. Organised by the Rakuten Brazil team, it’s full of very insightful keynotes, panel discussions and networking opportunities. With over 50 speakers, happy hour, evening show and a large venue it can be a maze to find most relevant presentation best suiting attendees needs.
Event app with interactive agenda, downloadable speakers info directly on mobile devices
Using the Rakuten Aquafadas technology, in close collaboration with the sister Rakuten company in Brazil, we created an event app to enable participants receive all relevant show information directly on their mobile devices, while enjoying handy features such as downloadable speakers information (with filters and favourites), video and images, real-time interactive full agenda, wifi info and more. This application has been created in a short time and without any programming skills. Thanks to our innovative solution last minute amends were done in real-time, minutes before the trade show commenced – an advantage no doubt appreciated by busy event organisers always faced with last minute modifications.
Results: excellent users’ feedback and impressive stats with 14 min dwell time on average
And the app went down a treat! Event participants used it a lot – with over 1000 of them downloading and actively browsing the info, spending the whopping 14 minutes on average – insights gathered thanks to app analytics as one of the features. They even said: “friendly navigation, clear content”! And the show organisers enjoyed the ability to create such useful tool in a super short time and keenly used the real-time changes option to make sure that minute details are correct and always up to date!
