Supporting Georgia learning community in the USA through digital learning materials

Georgia Public House’s challenge

Georgia Public Broadcasting is a Government television and radio broadcaster in the state of Georgia in the United States. One of their branches GPB Education is dedicated to education and serves Georgia learning community with a suite of STEM and social studies resources for classrooms and after-school programs. They deliver it using broadcast television, the GPB video streaming portal, their website, and apps. As as a part of these initiatives they also publish a state history textbook called Georgia Stories: Our State and Our Nation. For three years, the digital version of it was published on the Adobe Digital Publishing Suite platform. But they needed to change the provider.

Solution: cross platform, highly enriched digital book

As a result in 2017 they decided to use Rakuten Aquafadas digital publishing tools. They created a truly cross platform app (iOS, Android, Web) with their digital textbook available inside. And they took advantage of various possible enrichments. They also divided the app into two parts: public open content for students and private resources for teachers.

Results: real partnership, great possibilities and smooth transition

Working with Rakuten Aquafadas partner in the USA Disco Learning, they created a really interactive content and powerful and scalable app. The transition between previous technology provider happened easily and the new technology proved to be full of new possibilities. Plus the ongoing management of users and teachers database has been possible without relying on a third-party manger.
