Banner types by special actions

HTML5/Web banner type

The HTML/Web banner displays a webpage within the banner or in a new window.

  • In the Edit tab you can customize the banner:
    • URL: type the URL address of the website you want to display: http://www.mywebsite.com.
    • View type: select to display the website in the banner or in a new window.
    • Banner images:
      • If you select to display the website in the banner: select an image to display when the website is offline, by clicking on the +Select an image or Drop or Click button,
      • If you select to display in a new window: select an image to display by clicking on the +Select an image or Drop or Click button. The website opens in a new window when clicking on this image.
    • Sticky option: to keep the banner on top of the store while scrolling down the store.
    • Hidden option: to make invisible an element in the application.
    • Allow user control: allow users to have access to the controls/interactivity.

Note

If you select to display the web banner in a new window, you don’t have the Allow user control option.

  • Alternative images: click on the +DROP OR CLICK button to select three sizes of .PNG images for the banner.
  • Apply height for: the device that is used. Refer to the table in the the section called “Define banners height” procedure for further details.

Video banner type

The video banner displays a video you can host or a Youtube video, displayed in the banner or in a new window.

Warning

Temporarily when you display a video in a video banner, some android tablets and smartphones are able to download this video on their device memory. The user can retrieve the video and make any use of it. Aquafadas declines all responsibility for copyright infringement.

The video banner can host:

  • a video on your hosting, displayed:
    • in the banner.

Video banner type

The video banner displays a video you can host or a Youtube video, displayed in the banner or in a new window.

Warning

The video banner can host:

  • a video on your hosting, displayed:
    • in the banner.

When the video is displayed in the banner, you have the following options available:

  • Sticky option: to keep the banner on top of the store while scrolling down the store.
  • Hidden option: to make invisible an element in the application.
  • Allow user control: allow users to have access to the controls/interactivity.
  • Autoplay
  • Loop: to play the video in a loop.
  • Banner images: click on the +DROP OR CLICK button to select three sizes of .PNG images for the banner. The video opens when clicking on this image.
  • Apply height for: the device that is used. Refer to the table in the the section called “Define banners height” procedure for further details. Or you can check the Resizable button to set manually the width and height of the video.

In a new window.

Tip

If you uncheck this option, Autoplay and Loop options are checked by default.

    • When the video is displayed in a new window, you have the following options available:

      • Hidden option: to make invisible an element in the application.
      • Banner images: click on the +DROP OR CLICK button to select three sizes of .PNG images for the banner. The video opens when clicking on this image. The image is displayed when the app is offline.
      • Apply height for: the device that is used. Refer to the table in the the section called “Define banners height” procedure for further details.
  • a Youtube video, displayed:
    • in the banner: fill in the embedded link.This link is provided by the YouTube function Share/Integrate.The link must be of this type: https://www.youtube.com/embed/Egfh3nFtRtE
    • When the Youtube video is displayed in the banner, you have the following options available:
      • Sticky option: to keep the banner on top of the store while scrolling down the store.
      • Hidden option: to make invisible an element in the application.
      • Alternative images: click on the +DROP OR CLICK button to select three sizes of .PNG images for the banner. The video opens when clicking on this image. The image is also displayed when the app is offline. If you don’t select an image, you’ll display the preview of the video.
      • Apply height for: the device that is used. Refer to the table in the the section called “Define banners height” procedure for further details. Or you can check the Resizable button to set manually the width and height of the video.
    • in a new window.

When the Youtube video is displayed in a new window, you have the following options available:

  • Sticky option: to keep the banner on top of the store while scrolling down the store.
  • Hidden option: to make invisible an element in the application.
  • Banner images: click on the +DROP OR CLICK button to select three sizes of .PNG images for the banner. The video opens when clicking on this image.

Store Model banner type

This type of banner displays other Store Models within your Next Gen Store.

In the Edit tab you can customize the banner:

  • Sticky option: to keep the banner on top of the store while scrolling down the store.
  • Hidden option: to make invisible an element in the application.
  • Background color: to set the color of your choice in the banner.
  • Alternative images: click on the +DROP OR CLICK button to select three sizes images for the banner.
  • Apply height for: the device that is used. Refer to the table in the the section called “Define banners height” procedure for further details.

It is possible to add a parallax effect on this banner type. For further details see ???.

Featured Items banner type

A featured item banner allows you to create a carousel/slideshow banner where you can assign different actions, such as: “Go to Issue/Title/Category”, “Go to web”, “Play video”, etc.

This type of banner displays several image type banners.

Note

You cannot display Grid and List banners in the Featured Item element.

Tip

This is the equivalent of a billboard changing every 5 seconds.

To add content to this type of banner create a featured item first. See Featured Item documentation for further details.

Subscription banner type

This type of banner displays the subscriptions you have created in the Products tab.

You can display the subscriptions in three different ways:

  • Automatic view type: the user can subscribe directly via an automatically generated element.
  • via Images: a pop-up grouping your subscriptions will appear to the user when clicking on the image.
  • via URL pages: the user can subscribe directly via your customized web pages.

Automatic view type

The user can subscribe directly via an automatically generated element when clicking on the banner.

In the Edit tab you can customize the banner:

  • Subscriptions included in the banner: indicate the available subscriptions in your banner. You create the subscriptions in the Products tab.
  • View type: the way to display your subscriptions.
  • Background color: to set the color of your choice in the banner.
  • Sticky option: to keep the banner on top of the store while scrolling down the store.
  • Hidden option: to make invisible an element in the application.
  • Hidden if already subscribed option: to hide the element in the application if the user subscribed to a referenced subscription.

Via URL pages

The user will be able to subscribe directly to your subscriptions via your customized web pages.

Define images/buttons for Not Subscribed/Subscribed users and for Offline mode.

In the Edit tab you can customize the banner:

  • Subscriptions included in the banner: indicate the available subscriptions in your banner. You create the subscriptions in the Products tab, on the left menu of the page.
  • View type: the way to display your subscriptions.
  • If Not Subscribed: indicate the URL including the Product ID (SKU) of your subscriptions.You can customize with these two deeplinks:
    • [SCHEME]://product/productId/subscribe = opens the app in the Store and triggers the purchase of the specified product.
    • [SCHEME]://title/titleId/product = opens the app in the store and displays a pop-up with all the subscriptions related to the specified Title.

  • If Subscribed: indicate the URL to display if the user has already subscribed to a subscription offer. Here you can add other deeplinks.For further details, see ???.
  • If Offline mode: design and select images to display if the user has no internet connection. You can add a parallax effect: a movement of one or two elements (images), at different speeds, which generates a sense of depth.
  • Sticky option: to keep the banner on top of the store while scrolling down the store.
  • Hidden option: to make invisible an element in the application.
  • Hidden if already subscribed option: to hide the element in the application if the user subscribed to a referenced subscription.
  • Apply height for: the device that is used.

Via Images type

A pop-up grouping your subscriptions will appear when the user clicks on the image.

Define images for Not Subscribed/Subscribed users and for Offline mode.

In the Edit tab you can customize the banner:

  • Subscriptions included in the banner: indicate the available subscriptions in your banner. You create the subscriptions in the Products tab, on the left menu of the page.
  • View type: the way to display your subscriptions.
  • If Not Subscribed: design and select images to display indicating all your subscriptions: price and duration. You can add a parallax effect: a movement of one or two elements (images), at different speeds, which generates a sense of depth.
  • If Subscribed: design and select images to display for subscribed user. You can add a parallax effect: a movement of one or two elements (images), at different speeds, which generates a sense of depth.
  • If Offline mode: design and select images to display if the user has no internet connection. You can add a parallax effect: a movement of one or two elements (images), at different speeds, which generates a sense of depth.
  • Sticky option: to keep the banner on top of the store while scrolling down the store.
  • Hidden option: to make invisible an element in the application.
  • Hidden if already subscribed option: to hide the element in the application if the user subscribed to a referenced subscription.
  • Apply height for: the device that is used.

Note

In App Light no action on image is available.
