  • Newsstand settings.

All images required by AppFactory must be dragged and dropped in the dedicated boxes.

Set General Information menu

This tab gives general information about the application: name, bundle id, public and private versions of the application, icons for the app, etc.

After you drag and drop the application certificate, two fields in the General Information menu are filled automatically:

  • Name of the application: the name of the application as it will appear on the app stores.
  • Bundle ID: unique identifier for the application, defined manually in Cloud Connect and identical for Google and Apple stores.

All other fields are not mandatory, but you can custom them.

  • Version Number (public): version visible to users, used by AppStore. You need to change it with every new submission of the application.
  • Version Number (private): version visible internally. You need to increment by 1 every time you submit a new build of the application.

Example 4.1. Example on how to number the versions

If your public version is 1.0, the private version can be 1, 2 or 3. When updating and publishing a new version of the application: the public version can be 1.1, for a small version, or 2.0, for a big version, while the private version is 4.

  • Facebook AppId: type the Facebook AppId of your application.

Further down this page, in the URL Scheme field, you personalise the Facebook URL scheme of your application. The Facebook ID and the URL scheme combined give the possibility to the user to connect to your app with a Facebook account.

  • App Icons: change the icons for the given devices with your personalised images.
  • Exception Domain:
  • Allow Arbitrary Loads on http domain: to check the button if the URL used is not according to Apple standards.

Apple requires URLs to be https type. If this isn’t the case, it is possible to work around the problem by checking this box.

  • Exception Domain 1, 2, 3: to allow connections to domains without https. You don’t need to check the box Allow Arbitrary Loads on http field.

You have to justify these exceptions to Apple when submitting the application on the App Store. For further details, see ATS standard documentation.

  • URL Scheme:
    • Application internal URL (URL scheme): the URL scheme given automatically in Cloud Connect is contained in the application certificate. It is recommended to personalise the URL scheme of your application in this field. Make sure you keep the same for Android AppFactory.
