Create an Issue in Cloud Connect

The .ZAVE is assigned to an Issue, which is part of a Title. Before adding the .ZAVE file on Cloud Connect, you need to create a Title in Cloud Connect, then an Issue.

Create an Issue in Cloud Connect

An Issue is one published content. You need to create a Title to organize the Issues and publish them under the same theme.
An Issue type is the link between an Issue and the product referencing the Issue in the application.
For a Title containing multiple Issues with different prices, you need to create multiple Issue types, in order to reference these Issues separately in the application.

1. How to create an Issue type

  1. Click on the Edit button in the detailed view of a Title.

2. Click on the +Add new Issue type button.

3. Fill in the name of the new Issue type.

4. Click on the Update button to add and save the new Issue type.

Type the Issue type name.
Click Update to save the new Issue type.
The new Issue type will be visible in the Issue types list.

5. Click on the Add Issue button to continue with adding a new issue.

2. Add and configure a new Issue

  1. After clicking on Add Issue button, fill in the General settings:
  • Issue Name: the name of the publication displayed in the application.
  • Description: a synopsis of the Issue content, displayed in the application.
  • Issue type: if the issue is free, the default type is enough. If the Issue content is not free, you need to set the type.
  • Issue number: if you have more than one Issue within the Title and for a better content organization in the application.
  • External ID: the Issue ID in an external (not hosted by Aquafadas) database. This is optional when adding a new Issue.

Fill in the External ID field only if your database is linked to the Aquafadas services.

  • Release Date: starting this date the content is published in the app stores.
  • Issue availability end date: ending availability date for temporary content.
  • Publish on: select the platforms on which you want to publish the issue. You need to purchase a license to do so. Otherwise, the content will be available only on test devices.
Type Issue name.
Write a description about the Issue.
Select the Issue type.
Type a number only if you organize your Issues by numbers.
Type the external ID only if you have an external database.
Set the release (publishing) date.
Set the end date if temporary content.
Select the platforms to publish on the content.

  • Issue Preview: a small preview displaying a brief introduction of the issue content.
  • Content screenshots: a picture displaying a brief introduction of the issue content.
  • Issue Summary: a picture displaying a brief description of the issue and its content.

2. Click on the Add button to add all new info and pass to the AVE files tab.

Select or drag&drop an image for each icon.
Click on Add to continue with the Issue configuration.

3. Edit the AVE files tab:

This is the part where you ingest content for the Single Document or any type of app.

3.1. If you choose to add the AVE files (content for mobile: ZAVEM and ZAVE files) later, you can continue with creating the Issue. But you won’t be able to publish the Issue.

3.2. If you choose to upload the ZAVEM (manifest) files, click on the +Add or Replace button.

  • Drag and drop or select a ZAVEM file in the indicated box.
  • Select the Force preview mode if you want to pass several pages of your content in preview mode.

If the ZAVEM file is not exported with all the parameters as set in the Authoring tool, you can use this button to pass the source content in preview mode from Cloud Connect.

3.2.a. If you host your content:

  • Type the URL of the source file.
  • Click on the Validate button to validate the URL.
  • Click on the Save button to add the new Issue within the Title.
Select or Drag&Drop the ZAVEM file.
Check Force preview if you want to have a content preview.
Select personal hosting.
Type the URL for the source file.
Click Validate to validate the URL.
Click Save to add the new Issue.

3.2.b. If you want to host your content on Aquafadas system, you need to purchase it.

  • Select the Aquafadas hosting system.
  • Click on the +Select a file button.
  • Click on the Validate button to validate the ZAVE upload.
  • Click on the Save button to add the new Issue within the Title.
Select Aquafadas hosting.
Select or Drag&Drop the ZAVE file.
Click Validate to validate the ZAVE upload.
Click Save to add the new Issue within the Title.
The content will be visible within the same page as a Google storage link. You can download the content at any moment.
