How to create a ZAVE/HTML/ePub project in Cloud Authoring

This documentation gives you the guidelines for ZAVE/WebReader HTML/ePub project workflow and the links to documentation pages in order to help you during this process.

Depending on the source files, you can use either Conversion Flow or Creative Flow as authoring tools.

The diagram is explained in the procedure below with the related links.

Pre-requisites:

  • having already created an Automation, for the part with Automation use.
  • have configured the FTP to deposit the sources files.

1. Create a ZAVE/HTML WebReader/ ePub project in Cloud Authoring with an Automation:

  1. Create an Issue on Cloud Authoring.
  2. Declare the sources files, PDF or NewsML, on the FTP.
  3. Select the templates: HTML or InDesign. See Upload templates documentation for further details.
  4. Configure the Pattern plan.
  5. Build the files and wait for the build to be done.
  6. Edit the content: add enrichments, crop images, group pages, etc.
  7. Build the files to take into account all modifications.
  8. Export the project.

2. Create a ZAVE/HTML WebReader/ePub  project in Cloud Authoring without an Automation:

  1. Create a project in Cloud Authoring.
  2. Upload PDF source files manually.
  3. Build the source files.
  4. Edit the content: add enrichments, crop images, group pages, etc.
  5. Build the files to take into account all modifications.
  6. Export the project.
